IA-1 Midori Mini Users Guide

Yup, that's it. It's not exactly obvious, but that's really where all of your configuration needs will be fulfilled.

When you first boot Midori, both adapters will be set to DHCP (note that in the current builds of midori, there's still static information set, but it's not read). So, if you are on an internal network, obviously things are not going to work. Just open the web browser, go to Network -> Configuration, and set your adapter up there.

Note: Port 80 seems to be locked down to outside access, so you don't need to worry about someone logging in and changing your settings simply by using a web browser.

Anyways, here's a quick rundown of that options on the configuration page:

  • Misc
    • Hardware Monitor - Not used on IA-1
    • Sound - Sets up volume, PCM, treble/bass
  • Network
    • Configuration - Set up adapters
    • Connect to Network - Connect, needs to be run after doing configuration
    • Disconnect from Network - Obvious
  • Storage
    • Store Configuration - Stores your current configuration
    • Upgrade Software - Not used on IA-1
  • System Commands
    • Open Terminal - opens an xterm
    • Power Off - Turns the machine off
    • Reboot - Reboots the machine
    • Root Console - Opens a root console. Unfortunatly you can't get out of it due to the lack of an F1 mapping on the compaq keyboard right now. This will be fixed in the next build hopefully.
    • Switch Screen - Not used on the IA-1
  • Time
    • Set Time and Date - Duh.
    • Set Timezone - Also duh.

So, that's basically it for setup on your IA-1. This should get more intuitive as newer builds come out (for example, adding this to the main menus and what not). But hopefully this will help for the time being.
